Day-By-Day Breakdown

Day-By-Day Breakdown

Go Greek: The first round of recruitment is when all potential new members have the opportunity to meet all 13 chapters on UTK's campus. The long and hectic day is worth it to meet the members of each sorority, and you get more of an insight about what Greek Life at UTK is all about.

Philanthropy: Philanthropy round is very important to Sigma Kappa, as potential new members will learn about our 5 philanthropies, Sigma Kappa Foundation, Inherit the Earth, Gerontology, Maine Seacoast Mission, and Alzheimer's Research. We are extremely hands on with our philanthropies and love sharing our experiences with potential new members.

Sisterhood: Sisterhood round is all about a typical "day in the life" of a new member in a sorority. Potential new members will learn all about finances, academics, social, and sisterhood activities that Sigma Kappas are involved with. A short video presentation will also be shown showing videos of sisters studying abroad, participating in outside organizations, and various social and sisterhood events throughout the school year.

Preference: Preference round is an extremely special round, as you get a glimpse of Sigma Kappa's ritual. During preference, we want each potential new member to know how special it was to get to know them as sisters share their memorable and touching experiences while they have been in the chapter.
